from the ship's armory prior to 1400 . . . ."
Sixth Division is the keeper of the keys . . . to all the ship's
magazines and the armory. These original Navy Gunner's
Mates, now without any big guns aboard to maintain,
spend their time accounting for all ordnance and the security
and maintenance of the ship's magazines. Issuing shore
patrol gear and custody of small arms are the duty of the
Armory . . . the Sixth Division operations office. Entering
port you'll hear the Sixth Division Gunner's Mates fire the
saluting battery. And, for the first evolution of an unrep
. . . . firing the shot line . . . . call on Sixth Division.
