OA Division 1964 - 1965 U.S.S. INDEPENDENCE
"We have highs in the States and lows in
Europe and the Chief all over the place...."
INDY's own mother nature is OA Division, whose job
it is to keep all personnel informed of upcoming weather.
About 90 percent of the division has completed class "A"
soothsayers school and the remainder were selected
from reporting personnel who had civilian experience in
specialized arts such as palm reading and ESP. Those
with mechanical abilities, such as trick knees or sensitive
corns are also welcome members of this group.
Environmental forecasting involves the use of a
scientific approach utilizing vague assumptions,
based on debatable figures taken from inconclusive
instruments, performed with equipment of
problematical accuracy by personnel of
doubtful reliability and of questionable validity....
and that's why boating is cancelled.

Because of being aboard the Indy I was
able to travel around the world. I saw things that most people will never see and got paid to do it. Thanks Indy. |
