The Operation Office
Provides Direct Administrative and Training Assistance To The
Operations Officer By Screening, Routing, Preparing and Filing
Messages and Other Correspondence and by Maintaining
Departmental General Military Training Records.
The Office Personnel also Monitor Watch Bills, OPTAR Funds,
and Perform other Administrative Chores for the
Operations Department.

Was subsequently Commissioned as an LDO Ensign, ASW Aviation Operations, and assigned as INDY's OX Division Officer, Operations Department. LCDR, USN (RET)
CDR. James A. Messing Strike OPS 1987 - 1989			Served as Stike Operations when the ship emerged from Service Life Extension Program in Philadelphia in 1988. I coordinated the awards for individuals who worked on putting Indy back together after SLEP, participated in sea trial weapons systems testing, and coordinated the incorporation of the Air Wing back onboard for the trip around South America to San Diego. As Strike Operations, I wrote the schedule to make most of these events happen.
