S-1 Material Division, best known as the supply
mezzanine occupies the aft end of the hanger bay
on the 01 level and 59 storerooms throughout the
ship. These storekeepers also claim to receive the
most mail as they receive supplies by parcel post,
unrep, vertrep, COD and fleet freight.
These fast freight handlers are responsible for
shipping, receiving, and storing over 100,000
items ranging from a fraction of an ounce to
several thousand pounds.
Working closely with S1C Division, these men also
keep track of and issue these 100,000 items from
various storerooms on a round the clock basis.
