2025 Reunion Williamsburg, VA (Cancelled) Dates To Be Determined In August,
2024, we had another great get together,
this time in Savannah, GA with around 150
shipmates attending. We visited the Mighty
8th Air Force Museum and took a cruise on
a riverboat. Some went on ghost tours,
some hung out at the beach, shopped, and
enjoyed some great food and drink. Some of
us took a little side trip over to
Charleston and toured the USS Yorktown
CV-10.
Our President, Denis Bagley, passed away earlier this year. He founded the USS Independence Reunion Association and dedicated his life to bring together hundreds of shipmates to reunions for more than 30 years. He is very much missed. Because of this loss, the 2025 reunion was cancelled. The members of the association are in the process of putting something together but it probably will not be until sometime in 2026. Stay tuned. We will be back! |
